Silver Lining Farm, located in Mobile, Alabama, offers riding lessons in classical English style for children and adults. Our goal is to teach students how to ride, handle and groom horses safely and to the best of their ability. Our instructors are experienced riders and teachers. Our school horses are carefully chosen for their quiet temperaments, good manners, and their ability to help students learn the fundamentals of riding from the beginner to more advanced levels. There are rolling fields and tall trees offering a beautiful setting for the equestrian facility. There is no charge to come visit and see what Silver Lining Farm has to offer!

Lessons
Instead of being stuck inside at home or in daycare after school, spend your time here at the farm through our leasing and/or lesson program. This allows children to get outside and be away from TV and video games! The fresh air and animals are a great getaway from the stresses of school.
We offer group and private lessons 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday. Adults and homeschoolers of all levels are taught weekday mornings and Saturdays. Students are grouped by ability after an initial evaluation lesson. Our riders who wish to attend horse shows have the opportunity to ride in both small, local shows or at the regional or national level.
The most common misconception is that you have to spend a lot of money and show. However, there is something for everyone. Some riders ride once a week but are still competent to ride on vacation or at a friend's hunting camp.
Facilities include large grass pastures and a 12-stall full service barn; several large outdoor arenas and an area for students to practice jumping as well as a large air conditioned and heated common room with a bathroom and shower and a full service kitchen.

Birthday Parties
Celebrate your child's birthday at Silver Lining Farm!
Up to fifteen children are included in the price of the party package. During this time, the guests are able to ride for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Usually, there is one horse to every 2 to 3 children. Each child has an intermediate rider from the farm assisting while they ride. This makes it more than a pony ride; it is more like a mini lesson. They will get to trot and play games on horses.
After riding, we take the children on a hayride through the property singing and learning about horse breeds and colors. We end the party by feeding the horses carrots and apples. Parents say it's the easiest and the best party that they have ever had!

Summer Camp
Silver Lining Farm has one of the best summer camp programs in the country. Both day and overnight camps are offered. Silver Lining Farm has state of the art accommodations including a full kitchen, large recreation room, three full bathrooms with showers, and balcony over looking the green pastures, and two separate bunkrooms that each sleeps 10 guests. Overnight campers sleep above the barn and the horses. Summer camps are tax deductible as child care.
Being at the farm for 5 days, a student can learn what it would take 10 weeks to learn in regular lessons. Each student is worked with one on one as well as in a group setting with games, trail rides, taking horses in the lake, and many other great activities. The campers eat lunch together and hear stories that inform how to take care of horses and their medical needs. Swimming at the beautiful lake ends each camp day.
